Morgan Heritage Press is a small Vermont based company that has been
formed to
provide those interested in Morgan history a chance to rediscover the romance
and the significance that the Morgan horse has to American history. Our
offerings
include reprints of traditional works on the Morgan horse now long out of
print, as well as newly published items. These works generally are printed in limited quantities. We encourage those interested in purchasing
any of these items to do so quickly. Most of the merchandise is sold via
mail,
with some availability occurring at various Morgan functions throughout the
United States.

The Complete Dispersal of the Lippitt Morgans at the Green Mtn. Stock Farm
Compiled by Julie Heise. This booklet is a reproduction of the catalogs from the Robert
Lippitt Knight 1952 and 1962 dispersal sales, including the purchasers and
the winning bid for each horse that was sold at the auctions.
There are extended pedigrees in the back of the book, some of the more
popular horses found in pedigrees today, and a few of the rare ones. There
is a short section on A. Fullerton Phillips and the horses he owned and
bred. Also included is a list of the stock Robert Lippitt Knight bred. The

The Singing Master's Horse: Exploring the Origins of the Morgan Horse
Written by Betsy Curler, noted Morgan historian and researcher. This "work in progress" explores the origins of Justin Morgan.and the Morgan
breed. Chapters feature colonial horses of New England, the De lancey

History of the First Vermont Cavalry Volunteers in the War of the Great Rebellion.
This is an excellent publication about the First Vermont Cavalry that left
Vermont on Morgan horses for the Civil War. The book is based upon a
previously unpublished manuscript written in 1872 by Horace Knight Ide. This
is the same Ide family that bred Black Morgan 2nd, and others. This book also
has additional material supplemented by Elliott W. Hoffman. The hardbound book
is almost 400 pages, has 3 maps and 44 photos. The price $40.00 plus $5 for U.S.

The Horses of Woodstock:with Sketches of the Different
Breeds of Vermont
Horses by Allen W. Thomson. Originally published in 1887, this book
features
horses bred and owned in the Woodstock, Vermont area up to the late 19th
century. It offers anecdotal information plus the pedigrees of many of
those

second publication consisting of an anthology for the serious Morgan historian.
This compilation includes the original purpose of the Morgan Horse Club and
writings on Ben Franklin and Billy Roberts. In addition, there are excerpts

consisting of an anthology for the serious Morgan historian. This compilation

found in the pedigrees of Morgan horses today. Included are woodcuts of

The Vermont State Fairs of the early 20th century constituted the equivalent of today�s Grand National Morgan Horse Show. The Vermonter featured articles on the Morgans at this fair 1908-1913 and these articles have been republished here. In addition, related material and photographs have been included on the 1907 fair and those following 1913: from the New England Farmer is an article featuring the opinions of Morgan breeders of the 1909 fair, the results of class placings from 1908 to 1922, an old print of an 1853 Vermont State Fair held at Montpelier, Vermont, and a photograph of Charles Stones� Concord Coach and Four.
